60 MINS ENDURANCE MEDIUM

I've added a calender at the top of the site. From here I'll be keeping an up to date record of all my resistance, cardio etc workouts and this will allow you to follow along with me.

John is heading off this week to London taking part in this years London marathon, so best of luck and come back healthy!
I had applied too last year but with it being a lottery style for acceptance it was a 50 50 chance. Well I didn't get accepted but fingers crossed I'll get accepted in the next couple of years.

London, Athens, New York, Paris & especially Boston to mention a few are ones on the top of my to do list.

Nevermind Windows, It's Keyhole Opportunities!!

My schedule has gotten a lot busier of late. It looks like running the Cork City Marathon in June is looking very doubtful. I don't think I will be able to run any serious event this year but time will tell, we'll see. 'The Glass is Half Full', I like to see myself as an optimist, but at the same time setting yourself goals well you have to be realistic. Setting the bar too high is a bad thing, you'll constantly put yourself under pressure, push yourself too far and worse you may get injuried, and we all know how difficult mentally it can be to restart.

I had my program all made out. I did a test run to see how my pace was, (as you all know I didn't do any running in the last 4 weeks) and I was pleasantly surprised to see that a 3:15 was very possible, once I stuck to my program. But life throws you curve balls and sometimes no matter how prepared you are for the worse, the unexpected happens.

But it's not all doom and gloom, hell no!! 2007-08 was all running, 2009 I've decided alongside with my good friend Richard Wharton that I'm going to concentrate mainly on Bike work, and hopefully give you an insight how best is to train on a bike

The plan is to workout 4-5 days, 60 - 90 minutes on my bike, with the other days as XT days which will include running.

Thanks Richard ;)
